Receipts announces general availability of its digital receipt API, bringing paperless checkout to merchants across Doha.
DOHA, QATAR — Receipts, a Doha-based transaction technology company, today announced the general availability of its digital receipt platform, giving merchants across Qatar a fast, affordable way to replace thermal paper receipts with instant digital ones. The platform issues receipts in under a second through a single REST API, with no proprietary hardware required. "We built the platform we wished existed when we were paying for POS add-ons that never quite fit," said a Receipts co-founder. "Every merchant deserves real-time visibility into their own sales." The API and merchant portal are available now in sandbox, with production access rolling out to early partners across retail, restaurants and delivery.
New feature brings SKU-level insight and real-time sales analytics directly into the merchant portal.
DOHA, QATAR — Receipts today introduced "Ask Receipts," a business intelligence feature built directly into the merchant portal. Every digital receipt issued through the platform already carries structured, itemized data — Ask Receipts turns that data into SKU-level performance tracking, category trends and spend-pattern insight, without merchants needing to export a single spreadsheet. The feature is rolling out to all merchants on the platform at no additional cost, reflecting the company's stated goal of making enterprise-grade insight accessible to businesses of any size.
New merchant portal integration connects merchants and delivery companies on a single receipt record.
DOHA, QATAR — Receipts announced new merchant portal integrations with several of Qatar's leading delivery platforms, unifying order and receipt data that previously lived in separate systems. Merchants who sell through both in-store checkout and delivery partners can now see a single, matched record per order — eliminating the manual reconciliation that comes with chasing paper trails between kitchen, courier and customer. The integration is available today to merchants already issuing receipts through the Receipts API.
New Qatari company sets out to build affordable, GDPR-compliant digital receipt infrastructure for merchants.
DOHA, QATAR — Receipts LLC today announced its founding, setting out to build Qatar's first user-friendly, affordable digital receipt platform. The company was started on the observation that most digital-receipt tooling is built for large enterprises, leaving smaller merchants stuck with paper rolls, BPA exposure and manual month-end reconciliation. Receipts' infrastructure is GDPR-compliant from day one and designed to be simple enough for a single till and powerful enough for a multi-branch chain.
